RTKL Training

The Office of Open Records conducts training on the Right-to-Know Law and the Sunshine Act for groups that wish to learn about the application of these laws. In addition, the OOR often partners with various organizations or associations (e.g., the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania State Associations of Township Supervisors, and the Pennsylvania State Associations of Boroughs) to provide a presenter or panelist.

The webinars are presented via Teams, and can be accessed by clicking on the link in the session announcement on the Training Calendar, or using the link that we distribute in our email updates and tweets. If you don’t have Teams, you may be asked to use the Microsoft Teams app, which is easily downloaded at no charge. The sessions consist of a PowerPoint presentation with live narration. Participants can submit questions using the chat feature.

If your group would like to schedule a customized training session, please contact our office at  or 717-346-9903. You can also complete this online Training Request form.

Also available for immediate training are previously recorded live webinars, PowerPoint presentations and training videos.
